Rake Mark has a number of low cost ways to help you keep your site up to date,
fresh and engaging.
Website Updates
Text and image changes and adding new pages can all be carried out by the Rake Mark
team easily and for a fixed low cost. For example, if you needed some text changing
across a number of pages, then this would take about an hour and so would cost you
£29 plus vat. If there were a lot of changes then this might be two hours and so
would cost £58 plus vat. Additional pages cost from as little as £60 plus vat and this
would include the design work, images, image manipulation and implementation
into the rest of your site.
Regardless of your requirements, all updates will be discussed and quoted and agreed
before any work is carried out.
Update Your Own Site
Blogs, news articles and forums are a great way for you to manage and update sections
of your own site. Rake Mark has a number of really easy to use products that will help
to keep your website new and fresh.
Copywriting
Your copy is the text or words that go on the page. Most of our customers prefer to
write their own copy and for this reason we never include the cost of copywriting
in quotes or website design packages unless it specifically requested.
Rake Mark offer copywriting services at £225 per day or at £40 per
hour. As a guide, the copy for a 5 page standard web plan website will cost between
£250 and £300. Copywriting is not a core element of our business and
we can recommend a number of third parties to write your copy or write it in house,
whichever you prefer.
Domain Name Renewal, Hosting and Support
Web Hosting
All websites have to be stored on a web server so that your pages are visible on
the web. The web server that stores and serves your web pages is said to be
hosting your website. Any costs for the hosting service for the first year
is normally included in any quote that Rake Mark provide and it is included
in all of our
website design packages.

Domain Name Registration
Your Domain Name is the name that users type into the address bar of their
web browser to find your website. For example, our domain name is rakemark.com.
Your domain name must be registered and then renewed usually on an annual
basis.
Rake Mark can register your domain name for you and make sure that it
is renewed each year.
If however you already have a domain name registered with another provider we
can either transfer your domain name or simply change the DNS settings. Our DNS are:
- ns1.rakemark.co.uk
- ns2.rakemark.co.uk
To keep things easy Rake Mark simply charges £15 per year plus VAT for each
domain name you require.
